Apple’s iPhone
January 9th, 2007
As many industry experts expected, Apple has announced their iPhone — a cell phone, iPod, and Internet/Email device in one — at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco on Tuesday, January 9, 2007.
Apple’s industrial designers have completely revamped the “traditional” phone interface and developed a unique touch-screen that appears to be quite intuitive and user-friendly. There are no buttons on the front, as everything is controlled by context sensitive menus and actions on the 3.5″ screen.
The iPhone will be available in June for $499 for the 4GB model and $599 for the 8GB model, both which will likely require a 2 year contract from Cingular Wireless, the exclusive wireless carrier for iPhone in the U.S.
You can get more information and see usage examples at Apple’s iPhone website.
